Project summary
This project will help reduce heat energy consumption and save municipal budget funds by installing heat energy meters in institutions funded by the municipal budget in Nadvoitsy Settlement (Kindergartens # #1, 2 and 3, community center, and a children’s sports school); improve the quality of heating in the buildings by conducting energy monitoring; and improving the professional qualification of the staff

Anticipated results
Heat energy meters will be installed at 6 institutions funded by the municipal budget; energy monitoring will be carried out; a training seminar will be held; the heat supply system in the local school will be adjusted; a presentation for disseminating project experience will be prepared; 1,570 Gcal of heat energy will be saved annually; municipal budget spending will lower by 1,300,000 rubles a year; heat supply in the buildings will be improved and the temperature in the buildings in winter will increase; and 15 specialists will be trained.

Project Outcomes (September 2006)

The goal of this project was to reduce heat consumption and spending from the municipal budget on heating. Project activities included the installation of heat energy meters in kindergartens ## 2, 3 and 4, at the community center, and the children’s sports school.

The project has almost been completed: in six institutions heat energy and hot water meters have been installed and the heating system at the school is being adjusted.

These energy-efficiency activities make it possible to save 1.3 million rubles of budget spending on heating.
