On January the Project Complex “Improving the Social Infrastructure and the Quality of Life of the Dargavs Community” was completed in the mountain area of Prigorodny Raion in the Republic of North Osetia – Alania  in the frame of Community Development Support Program (CDSP) funded by USAID and managed by Fund for Sustainable Development (FSD).  The Dargavs municipality is one of the most remote and inaccessible region in the Republic, especially in winter time, when it is often completely isolated by snowfalls.  So improvement of the social infrastructure in the municipality was very important for local residents.
Water supply system and power transmission line were modernized, new equipment in municipal bakery were installed. Local residents were widely involved to the projects implementation and help to construct water supply system.
Because of projects’ help inefficient power consumption was reduce and reliable electricity supply was ensure. Stable year-round supply of bakery products for school diner-room and summer sport camp as well as for local residents was provided. Thus, fresh bread and bakery products are available to the residents  of Dargavs and Karmadon municipalities. Farmers from communities got possibility to increase number of cattle and create new jobs for residents using new water supply system.
