Kick-off meeting on «Community Development Support Program" (CDSP)

Kick-off meeting on”Community Development Support Program” (CDSP) was held on January 29, 2007 in Moscow at the State Darwin Museum. The meeting Objectives were: 1) Discussion of “Community Development Support Program” (CDSP): goals / tasks, priorities, geographical scope. There about 80 attendants, including representative of USAID (Yuriy Kazakov), ISC Vermont (Barbara Felitti), Russian officials (Alexander Shirokov, Ministry of Economic Development and Trading, Head of the office, Department of territory development; I.S.Soloboev, SUAL Ural branch representative), coordinators of Star Community Projects , Regional Centers Directors, ROLL grantees, implemented the best  successful practices and methodologies.

After welcome words the FSD: goals, experience and organization activity  was reported by FSD Executive Director O.S.Fokin, the CDSP goals and tasks, geographical scope, priorities areas and workplan – by FSD Program Director R/O/Butovsky. The importance of SCI (Stars Community Initiatives”, 15th Round) lessons learned for CDSP strategy development  was reported by three Consortia Coordinators (Alexander Petrynin, Center for Psychological Rehabilitation and Correction-Khabarovsk , Sergey Nikitenko, InfoTech Innovation Research and Production Center- Kemerovo , Vasilii Sutula, Federal Government Institution “Baikal State Nature Biosphere Reserve”-Baikal, Tankhoi).
