On December 3-4, the Fund for Sustainable Development (FSD) took part in the Financial Education Summit in Singapore sponsored by the Citi Foundation and Financial Times and attended by 500 participants, mainly from the Asia Pacific, which is a region of Citi deep presence.
Starting from 2008, FSD has been working on the Community Development Support Program funded by Citi Foundation. The presentation of an FSD expert, program director Ruslan Butovsky, entitled “Environmental Education in the Russian Federation: Learning through Practice” at the summit’s workshop Integration of Financial and Environmental Education evoked a noticeable interest. FSD’s community development effort, which successfully combines economic, social and environmental projects carried out simultaneously in one community, also considerably enhances awareness about financial issues among local residents.
