Environment and Public Health in Nevinnomyssk and other Regions of Eurokhim Presence

We Are Glad to Congratulate EuroChem Company on its 7th Anniversary!!

The Fund for Sustainable Development has been working with EuroChem Company for over a year-and-a-half as its partner in implementing the Environment and Public Health in Nevinnomyssk and Other Regions of EuroChem Company Presence Program funded by EuroChem Company jointly with the United States Agency for International Development. The Program is aimed at improving the quality of life in communities through supporting local initiatives, promoting healthy life styles, improving the quality of medical services, and planting tress and shrubs and generally improving city districts.

In August 2008, as part of celebrating the 7th anniversary of EuroChem Company in the city of Nevinnomyssk, FSD Program Director Ruslan Butovsky awarded Donation Certificates to 12 organizations, winners in the first and second project contests held under the Program.

The Program participants presented their projects and spoke about ideas that have already been implemented and about new initiatives and plans for 2009 that will be realized out with support from EuroChem Company.

On October 11, 2008, as part of celebrations devoted to the CITY OF NEVINNOMYSSK DAY, a Fair of Projects, winners in the second and thirds contests of the Program will be organized.

In his congratulation speech, Ruslan Butovsky stressed that the company’s promotion of social change and the launching of similar programs demonstrated the fact that in the course of the years of its operation it has been building a civilized business conduct. He also noted that the company’s corporate culture was distinguished by a mature and responsible attitude toward protecting environmental and human health. Of much respect is the company’s effort to form responsible partnership relations with its staff, the community and the state overall and its determination to ensure maximum industrial safety along with social support to communities and regions where its facilities are based.

Thanks to financial support provided by EuroChem Company,  during the period ending in the end of 2009, in the city of Nevinnomyssk new open-air sports grounds will appear, as well as exercise machines in parks, a family mini-park, a Children’s Soccer League, a new physiotherapeutic room in the local kindergarten and a  “New Mothers’ School”; and over 3,000 children living in the city will undergo health improvement treatment under new rehabilitation programs and will be involved in athletic and health activities organized  by the Program’s projects.
