Small Business Development in Local Communities Program News

A new program of Citi Foundation and the Fund for Sustainable Development – Small Business Development in Local Communities Program- scheduled for 2012-2013 and recently launched in Moscow Oblast is being carried out in collaboration with the Russian Microfinance Center (RMC) with organizational support from the Kolomna branch of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The first phase of this program has already been fulfilled –8 trainers from among residents of Kolomensky, Lukhovitsky and Voskresensky raions of Moscow Oblast  were trained who will conduct training for 160 first-time entrepreneurs and unemployed citizens of this region. This “training for trainers” took place from November 19 through November 23, 2012 at Kashira Springs Health Resort in Kashirsky Raion, Moscow Oblast. It was conducted by Tatyana Dikova, senior trainer of RMC, and Marina Samartseva, director of the Center for Financial Services and Consulting LLC, Voronezh, and was based on a training program “Start Your Own Business”.
Graduates of the “training for trainers”:

  1. Irina Shestimirova, HR manager, Kolomna Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  2. Natalya Aleyevskaya, chief specialist of the Business and Services Support Sector, Kolomna Raion Administration
  3. Oksana Kulikova, general director of Kolomna Consulting Company LLC
  4. Olga Ulupova, deputy general director of Kolomna Consulting Company LLC
  5. Svetlana Kalinina, head of the Department for Employer Relations and Temporary Employment at the Employment Center, Kolomensky Raion
  6. Svetlana Kormilina, Voskresensky Raion
  7. Alexei Vladovich, chairman of the Council for the Support and Development of Small and Middle Sized Businesses at Voskresensky Raion Administration.
  8. Alexander Lagutin, chief specialist for Agribusiness Relations Department at Lukhovitsky Raion Administration.

According to schedule, in December 2012 – January 2013, the graduates of the training will train 160 first-time entrepreneurs from Moscow Oblast in the fundamentals of starting a new business. The best business plans written during the training will be funded on a competitive basis by the Program.
