The first phase of Amur Initiative is almost completed. Four out of five projects are in the formal closure stage. However, based on the broad response to this initiative from both Khabarovskiy Krai regional and local authorities FSD after consulting with USAID and Krai Government decided to explore the possibility of launching Phase 2 of the initiative that will contribute further to extremely urgent needs of small Amur riverbanks settlements in clean and safe water. At the meeting with Deputy Head of Khabarovskiy Krai Government Alexandr Levintal FSD representatuives decided to design and present for USAID approval new concept of Amur Initiative continuation.
