FSD continue to replicate its experience gained within ROLL program

FSD continue to replicate its experience gained within ROLL program in environmental education  and  youth involvement into community life. Social responsible business in Russia is interested in developing its territories, and youth is the most active targeted  group in local communities.

The Alcoa Foundation Sustainability and Conservation Program for Russia (2007-2008)  “We are in Charge of the Future” is under implementation  in 3 municipalities – Samara, Belaya Kalitva, and Lubuchany Settlement in Chekhovsky Raion, Moscow Oblast.  The goal of this one-and-a-half year Program is to promote sustainable development in partnership regions in Russia, including assistance to environmental and natural resources protection activities– by means of public education among the youth and support to local NGOs.

Within the program grant component FSD supervise 12 small projects, and majority of them are dedicated to youth engagement into social life at local level.

Lyubochanskaya secondary school is one of 12th grantees , it implements a  project ”Learning to live in a new way” where about 20 children from  the settlement and Puschino city in partnership participated in the Program  “Building Eco-house” at the farm “Living Earth”.

	In the frame of the project special test sets for water express analysis were bought. Children used this test sets for examination the quality of water in  the nearest ponds.
